Events and Community Engagement Coordinator
Overview
In-person events are a regular and important part of how Party Shirt International engages with the world. They are key to showcasing our brand, sharing our identity, and building energy and relationships with our customers and other brands.
About The Position
Party Shirt International is seeking a part-time, energetic, and experienced events person to join our team!
As the Events and Community Engagement coordinator, you will be responsible for the planning and execution of all PSI events. You will meet our customers and brand partners face to face and curate experiences, while growing our direct sales channel. You will assist the Sales and Marketing teams on the ground. This will include but is not limited to, the identification, organization, preparation, and execution of all events and community engagement opportunities. We want to see you drive new sales through successful events and build stronger and tighter communities through partnerships and public engagement.
Success in Events and Community Engagement will come from strong relationship building skills, being extremely outgoing, having a good understanding of the apparel and outdoor industries, being able to work long days and for long periods of time, and having careful attention to detail. Ideally, you are someone who loves to travel, loves seeing new places, meeting new people, and trying new things. Someone who loves to engage with the public, is able to represent and support a brand everywhere you go, is self motivated, and takes proactive initiative.
Our teams are currently based in Portland, OR, and Salt Lake City, UT. We are seeking someone in one of these two cities, but can definitely make an exception for the right candidate.
Hours: This position is part time. It is also event schedule dependent. While it is a mix of time on and time off, there will be consistent days of time on. Similarly, you will be able to plan for your time off. Ideally, you will plan and prepare for an event, run the event, then take time off before preparing for the next event. There will be a “busy season” where you will be on more than you are off, but that will be balanced with our slower season where you can rest, relax, and reset. This is a dynamic position perfect for someone who can plan, prepare, adapt to changes, and execute on the move.
Location: This is a hybrid position as it will require preparation and work from home as well as work from the road.
